My name is Dominique Geerlings, 19 years old and I am currently studying IDE (Industrial Design Engineering) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
Looking at different studies, I wanted something that was both technical and creative as I love creating my whole life. This is exactly what I found in IDE, a place where I could choose my own path and get creative during the process.
I am a practical and realistic, positive thinker, looking to solve problems through design. The practical and functional aspects of the product are just as important as the details and aesthetics.
Because of my curiosity, I am always open to new projects and directions in design that I have not yet experienced.
As an outgoing person I like to work in team formation, but I can very well manage an individual project as well.

As curious as I am, I have many interests. For sports I swim twice a week, now and then a competition.
I love being outside, which is why I joined the scouting at a very young age. Since a few years I am a volunteer team leader of the scouts group (from age 11 – 15) where I help children develop new (scouting related) skills.
